Application: Bronze foundry operation generated fume and odors from patina application to various sized bronze castings. The backdraft style hoods isolated workers and breathing zones by pulling fume horizontally. The large hood size allowed for use of small, table-mounted or life-size structures to be ventilated.

Filtration Equipment: One Hartzell Vane Axial Blower Model 54-18 with Combination Vertical Discharge / Backdraft Damper; Duct System included Spiral Piping and Two Custom Slotted Backdraft-Style Hoods

Application: Environmental laboratory performed scientific testing on soil and other material samples using various types of chemicals that become airborne. Plastic dome hood increased fume capture area and protected operators. System airflow was provided by central facility blower system.

3. Odor / Fume Control—Laboratory Application

Application: Sample Lab processed ore/mineral/soil samples. Corrosive chemicals wore out existing ductwork and blowers which were not suitable for the application. Worn ventilation equipment reduced airflow and contaminated lab fixtures. New, fiberglass construction blowers were installed along with increased stack head height. Airflow was restored to original system spec thereby protecting operators and internal fixtures.
